Description
The City of Fairburn, Georgia is seeking a consultant to provide on-call construction and project management services for various municipal projects, with an emphasis on horizontal construction. The selected consultant will be responsible for construction management, project administration, design support, bidding, permitting, and construction services. The contract will be for a period of five years, with the option for the City to split the award among multiple respondents.
• The consultant will be responsible for meeting with City staff, end users, and consultants to establish a consensus scope for the project and develop agreement among the parties about project delivery roles, metrics, and assumptions.
• The consultant will establish a written schedule for each project, prepare an increasingly detailed project budget, and coordinate with other professional staff and consultants associated with the design and engineering activities of the projects.
• The consultant will attend meetings, attend bid openings, review and approve pay applications, and coordinate with contractors for materials testing and quality assurance programs.
• The consultant will maintain complete file history of all project-related documentation and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements.
• The consultant will provide written reports of all site visits, progress meetings, inspections, evaluations, communication with the contractor, and submit them to the owner or owner's representative on a monthly basis during the construction phase.
