Notice to Sole Source Autosampler - used to collect composite samples required by FDEP

The City of Port St. Lucie Utilities Department intends to sole source an autosampler used to collect composite samples. The autosampler is programmed to collect flow proportional FDEP compliance samples automatically. The city plans to negotiate and award a contract to a single source under the authority of Florida Statute 287.057(3)(c). • The autosampler is required to match the other two autosamplers in use at the plant for uniformity and ease of operation. • The city has been using Teledyne ISCO autosamplers for many years due to their reliability and durability. • The city believes that purchasing a different manufacturer's autosampler would require operators and staff to learn multiple programming and calibration techniques, which would be time-consuming.
