Advertisement for Construction Bid Phase 1 Public Safety Driver Training Pad

The Johnston Community College is seeking bids from licensed contractors for the construction of a 600’ x 600’ concrete driving pad as part of the JCC Public Safety Complex Phase I project. The project includes tree clearing, site demolition, erosion control, asphalt and concrete paving, parking lot reconfiguration, driveways, grading and drainage, curb and gutter, waterlines, sanitary sewer, and landscaping. The project also includes site lighting, which will be leased and installed through the Town of Smithfield. • The bid security required is 5% of the bid in cash, certified check, or Bid Bond. • Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the contract amount will be required. • Minority Business Participation is required, and bidders must comply with County of Johnston MBE policies and the North Carolina Statute 143-128.2 (c). • The Iran Divestment Act applies to this project, and bidders must certify that they are not listed on the Final Divestment List created and maintained by the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer.
