Pump Station #38 Pump Equipment Removal

The Isle of Wight County is soliciting bids for the removal of a pump at Pump Station #38. The contractor will be responsible for evaluating the structure, installing rigging and hoists, and safely removing the existing pump. The contractor must have experience in pump removal, rigging, and crane operations, and must provide references for at least three completed projects of similar size and scope. The project must be completed within 60 days of notice to proceed, with final completion within 90 days of substantial completion. • The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, rigging, hoists, and incidental materials necessary to safely remove the existing pump and place it in the designated location outside the structure. • The contractor will furnish and install any temporary or permanent rigging, hoists, supports, or related equipment required to complete the pump removal. • The contractor will ensure that all work is performed in a manner that maintains safe operations and continued accessibility for County staff. • The contractor will provide a minimum of three references for completed projects of similar size and scope. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations.
