Hazardous Chemical Removal

The City of Sunrise is seeking a vendor to remove hazardous chemicals from its Springtree Water Treatment Plant. The chemicals to be removed include sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, hexafluorosilicic acid, scale inhibitor, and high pH membrane cleaning compound. The vendor will be required to remove the chemicals in a manner that prevents any accidental release into or on City of Sunrise property and into the environment. After the chemicals are removed, the vendor will provide the City of Sunrise staff with a disposal manifest for all chemicals removed from the site. • The chemicals are stored in above-ground storage tanks and IBC totes. • The vendor will be required to provide a disposal manifest for all chemicals removed from the site. • The project is expected to be completed once the chemicals are removed and a disposal manifest is provided. • The City of Sunrise is seeking a vendor with experience in hazardous material and waste services.
