The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced consultants to develop a comprehensive, data-driven multi-year Economic Development Master Plan for the Central County area. The plan aims to promote underutilized areas within the boundaries of the seven municipalities and Palm Beach County, and to attract additional development opportunities that will integrate within the communities. The selected consultant will provide services for a 30-month period, with three 12-month renewal options. The proposal should include experience, qualification, and background information, as well as a project approach and understanding of the requirements.
• The Central County area encompasses approximately 57 square miles and has a population of approximately 280,908 residents.
• The area has access to major highways and arterials, as well as the Palm Beach International Airport and the Palm Beach County Park Airport.
• The selected consultant will be required to provide a comprehensive plan that includes a toolkit to attract industries such as retail, future tech, healthcare, aerospace, and financial corporate operations.
• The consultant will also be required to identify industries and uses that will support the continued growth and development of the airports as major economic engines.
