The County of Alameda is seeking a contractor to provide laundry and linen services for the Alameda County Sheriff's Office - Coroner's Bureau. The contractor will be responsible for picking up soiled linens, laundering and sanitizing them, and returning them to the bureau. The contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to renew for an additional two years. The contractor must have at least three years of experience in providing commercial or industrial laundry and linen services and must possess all necessary permits, licenses, and professional credentials. The contractor will be required to provide a dedicated account manager and support staff to service the county during normal working hours. • The contractor must have an implementation plan to track all items provided to the bureau and for delivery services. • The contractor must have a scheduling plan to ensure a smooth transition when picking up and returning items to the bureau. • The contractor must have a contingency service plan in case of any disruption of service. • The contractor must provide all brand-new laundry and linen products at the beginning of the contract. • The contractor must maintain a high level of inventory accuracy to ensure that all laundry and linen products supplied and laundered for the bureau are exclusively worn and used by the bureau. • The contractor must provide laundry services that include spotting, laundering, disinfecting, pressing, mending, folding, and packing of all inventoried items provided by the bureau.
