The US Army is seeking information from qualified systems integrators to develop and install a Digital Intermediate Frequency (Digital IF) solution across up to 18 large SATCOM teleport sites worldwide. The solution should provide a flexible, modular, and standards-based Digital IF architecture that supports scalability, interoperability, and long-term sustainment. Interested vendors should demonstrate capabilities in system design, integration, and maintenance of complex SATCOM infrastructure. The project involves the development of a high-speed Digital IF network, automated Digital IF signal chain management, and Digital IF equipment such as modems, combiners/dividers, and converters. The solution should also support third-party Digital IF modems and provide logistics support, including operator documentation, training, and maintenance.
Some key requirements of the project include:
• High-speed Digital IF network with adequate capacity to support up to 256 duplex missions
• Automated Digital IF signal chain management and Digital IF equipment suite management
• Support for third-party Digital IF modems and Digital IF domain test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to accommodate potential Digital IF stream compression, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and bulk Digital IF stream encryption over WAN
• Compliance with the Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) certification process and emerging Digital IF MIL standards
