Waste to Energy (WTE) Facility Mechanical Service

The City of Tampa is seeking bids for the provision of daily mechanical services for the McKay Bay Waste to Energy (WTE) Facility. The selected contractor will provide one supervisor, one pipe welder, and one pipe fitter daily, Monday through Friday, to perform specialty tasks such as pump removal and installation service, grating replacements, conveyor repairs, piping repairs, and code piping repairs. The contractor must have experience with Victaulic piping and fitting services and be able to increase the number of welders and fitters during outages. The contractor will also be required to provide a R-1 report for any pressure vessel/piping/valve weld repairs completed. • The contract term is for three years, with the option for a two-year renewal. • The contractor must have five years of experience in equipment services for waste-to-energy facilities. • The contractor must have a National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors Certificate of Authorization “R” Stamp Certificate and a State of Florida Mechanical Contractor’s License. • The contractor must be located in Hillsborough County, Florida, or one of the adjacent counties.
