Tank Cleaning and Inspection Services

The Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is requesting quotations for Tank Cleaning and Inspection Services. The scope of work includes inspection and corrosion evaluation, tank cleaning, disinfection, flushing, and testing of 10 potable water tanks at two sites. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform the services. The contract shall be for a term of one year, with the option for LBPUD to increase or decrease estimated quantities based on actual needs and funds available. • The contractor shall coordinate tank outages and operational constraints with LBPUD Operations staff to maintain system reliability and service levels. • The contractor shall provide pre-inspection submittals, including a site-specific diving plan, health and safety plan, and wastewater and sediment handling and disposal plan. • The contractor shall perform field inspections, submerged and vapor zone inspections, and documentation and reporting of findings and recommendations. • The contractor shall carry out tank cleaning, sediment handling and disposal, and disinfection, flushing, and testing in accordance with AWWA standards and federal, state, and local regulatory guidance.
