Interior Signage

The Okemos Public Schools is seeking proposals for new interior signs for Chippewa Middle School. The project includes the installation of ADA compliant room signs and directional wayfinding signs. The successful bidder will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of the signs, as well as providing a comprehensive Standards Manual in PDF format. The manual should include all graphic standards, sign type descriptions, renderings showing color, pattern and finish, engineering drawings, location plans, plots, artwork, insert templates, mounting details, and reorder information. The signs should comply with applicable provisions of the latest edition of the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines and the International Code Council/American National Standards Institute A117.1-Standard on Accessible and Usable Buildings Facilities. • The signs should be made of clear subsurface screenprinted or digitally printed sign-grade acrylic, 0.125 inch thick, with a matte first surface. • The insert window face should be 0.93 thick non-glare acrylic lens. • The applied lettering and/or numerals should be LPP series individual dimensional characters created using a layered UV ink printing process. • The tactile (ADA) signs should include dimensional letters as described above and 1/32” high clear acrylic, perfectly round Grade II braille bead message translation. • The subsurface (if painted) signs should be 9 mil bright white gloss polyester film bonded to second surface .118 non-glare acrylic tiles with optically clear, pressure sensitive acrylic mounting adhesive. The bidder should provide pricing to fabricate and install all items specified, with the goal that they are to be a partner with the district for all future building projects. Incomplete bid submissions will not be considered.
