Medical Exam and Testing Provider for the Syracuse Police Department

The City of Syracuse is seeking a qualified vendor to provide medical examinations and psychological evaluations to police and public safety officer candidates. The vendor will be expected to provide medical services in accordance with the highest standards in Occupational Medicine and adhere to best practices. The scope of work includes providing evaluations for illness and injury, determining fitness to return to duty, administering drug screenings, and conducting physical fitness examinations. • The vendor must have familiarity with public service and fit-for-duty/return-to-work evaluations. • The vendor must use the Standards and Procedures for Police Officer Candidates published by New York State Division of Criminal Justice. • The vendor must provide evaluations in both illness and injury for a determination of fitness to return to duty.
