Salt for Snow and Ice Control

The Town of Greenwich is seeking bids for approximately 7,000 tons of salt to be used for snow and ice control throughout Greenwich, CT. The contract will have an initial term of one year, from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with four optional years that may be engaged through mutual consent. Bidders must have an ample supply of road salt, equipment, trucks, and staff to adequately service and supply the Town of Greenwich. The successful bidder will be required to provide salt that meets the specified chemical composition and grading requirements. Deliveries shall be made on a 24-hour-a-day basis, 7-days-a-week, as requested by the Town. Some key points to consider: • The Town of Greenwich reserves the right to issue addenda as needed on bids/proposals. • Bidders shall have experience with supplying customers similar in size to the Town of Greenwich. • Bidders shall provide references on the Reply Sheets. • Bidders shall have been in business for, at a minimum, the past two years to the present. • Bidders shall hold their pricing fixed for all orders placed through June 30, 2027.
