KNIGHT MEMORIAL LIBRARY GARDEN PROJECT

The Community Libraries of Providence is seeking a landscape contractor to build a garden around the historic Knight Memorial Library. The garden will include furnishings, walkways, pavilions, lighting, irrigation, plants, little libraries, and planting beds. The project aims to reimagine the grounds of the site into a series of gardens that will allow the library to bring a variety of learning programs and community events into an accessible, safe, sustainable, and enjoyable outdoor experience. The construction will be paid for using American Rescue Plan funds from the City of Providence. Key requirements include: • Providing a detailed project schedule • Breaking out the cost of each element • Including schematics and renderings • Providing three references for similar projects • Ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations • Registering with the Federal System for Award Management (SAM.GOV) • Providing proof of insurance and other certifications as required.
