Description
This opportunity calls for the complete replacement of two 150‑ton air‑cooled chillers (Building 842) along with associated pumps, glycol‑feed system, pipework, controls, and related civil work. The scope spans mechanical demolition and installation, electrical wiring and VFD integration, and concrete/structural modifications to the chiller yard. The contractor must coordinate shutdowns, maintain building HVAC service, comply with 2025 NYS building and mechanical codes, and complete testing and commissioning before project close‑out.
• Mechanical work: removal/installation of chillers, system pumps, glycol tanks, pipe insulation, and mold remediation.
• Electrical work: new conduit, VFDs, BACnet controls, energy and flow meters, and integration with the existing BMS.
• Civil/structural work: demolition of existing curb/fencing, new concrete pads, bollards, and site‑specific drainage/de‑watering.
• Schedule constraints: site visit on 7 Feb 2026, bid deadline 15 July 2026, and strict sequencing requirements to keep at least one chiller operating during the cooling season.
