Description
The California Highway Patrol seeks a qualified towing and evidence‑impound provider to deliver 24/7 tow, storage, and related services for the Morongo Basin Area Office. The contractor must operate within San Bernardino County, maintain secure climate‑controlled storage facilities, and meet stringent driver licensing, security‑clearance, and insurance requirements. Work is performed on an as‑needed basis with rates submitted by the bidder; the contract is capped at $150,000 and runs for three years starting April 1 2027.
• Provide light, medium, heavy‑duty and rotator towing services on a 24‑hour, 7‑day‑a‑week basis.
• Offer secure, climate‑controlled storage of impounded vehicles with monthly inventory reporting.
• Maintain qualified personnel (minimum three years of for‑hire towing experience, valid CA driver’s licenses, fingerprint checks) and carry required liability and workers’‑compensation insurance.
• Submit detailed rate schedules for towing, storage, and call‑out inspections; invoices are paid monthly in arrears.
• Adhere to California statutes on unfair trade practices, sanctions, and a GenAI disclosure clause; subcontracting limited to ≤ 25 % of work.
