Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is conducting market research to identify GPS-enabled monitoring devices with integrated two-way phone call capability and associated monitoring and data-management services. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on industry capabilities, commercial product availability, technical approaches, pricing structures, and best practices to support future acquisition planning.
• The BOP is looking for devices that are secure, tamper-resistant, and physically removable only by authorized correctional staff.
• Vendors are requested to provide information on their company, technical capabilities, and operational and support capabilities.
• The BOP is also seeking rough order of magnitude pricing and industry recommendations and feedback.
