Construction Manager at Risk Services (CMAR) for the New Solid Waste Transfer Station Facility

The City of Lakeland is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firm to provide construction management services for the New Solid Waste Transfer Station Facility. The project involves the construction of a Push Pit loading system and other facilities for solid waste operations. The selected firm will manage all aspects of the construction process, ensure quality workmanship, adhere to safety regulations, and deliver the project on time and within budget. The firm must have at least ten years of experience in managing similar construction projects for public entities. • The project includes the construction of a transfer station building, heavy duty access roads, scale house, concrete tipping floor, and other facilities. • The firm will provide pre-construction services, including review and coordination of design drawings and specifications, cost and savings programs, and competitive bidding and contractor selection. • The firm will also provide construction services, including overall coordination, management, supervision, and scheduling of the work of each contractor/subcontractor. • The project will be located on an undeveloped parcel of approximately 16.5 acres on N. Combee Road. • The entire estimated project value is $18.5M.
