CONSTRUCTION MGMNT & INSPECTION SRVCS FOR MARIN BLVD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

The City of Jersey City is seeking a consultant to provide construction management and inspection services for the Marin Boulevard Safety Improvements project. The project aims to improve traffic and pedestrian safety along Marin Boulevard by implementing various improvements, including replacement of traffic signal heads, installation of new pedestrian signal heads, and construction of a one-way northbound parking-protected bike lane. The consultant will be responsible for managing and inspecting the construction of the project, ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications, and providing daily inspection reports and monthly progress summaries. Key features of the project include: • Replacement of traffic signal heads • Installation of new pedestrian signal heads and accessible push buttons • Construction of a one-way northbound parking-protected bike lane • Installation of concrete pedestrian refuge islands and curb extensions • Pavement resurfacing and reconstruction of sidewalks and curbs The consultant should have experience with similar federal aid and NJDOT projects, and should demonstrate a clear understanding of the project requirements and scope of services.
