Vacuum Compatible stages – Combined Sources Sought/Notice of Intent to Sole Source

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a high-speed, Lock-in/Servo system. The system should include vacuum-compatible stages that meet or exceed the specified minimum requirements. The requirements include two rotation stages and two tilt stages, all of which must be rated to work at pressures of 1x10-6 Torr or lower. The stages must be made of an aluminum alloy or a material with comparable or less neutron activation to aluminum. The system should also include vacuum-compatible cables and non-vacuum cables. • The rotation stages must have a full step resolution of 0.01 degrees or less and a range of motion equal to or greater than 200 degrees. • The tilt stages must have a range of motion of 7.5 degrees or greater and a working distance of 65 mm or greater. • The system must fit entirely within a circle centered on the axis of rotation of the rotation stage with a diameter of 14.5 inches. • The total height from the bottom of the rotation stage to the working distance of the tilt stage must be 10 inches or less.
