Description
The Kansas Department of Transportation is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide mowing services at the KDOT District 6 Headquarters in Garden City. The services include weekly mowing, edging, and weed eating as needed. The contractor should pick up debris prior to mowing and dispose of it properly. The term of the contract will be from the date of award through June 30, 2029, with the option to renew for two additional twelve-month periods.
• The area to be mowed is approximately 131,813 sq ft or 14,646 sq yards.
• The contractor should use a blower as needed to ensure all cut grass is off the sidewalks and entryways.
• The contractor should exercise caution near the buildings as there may be equipment nearby.
• Weed control chemicals will not be needed for this contract, nor will the care of any vegetation and/or plants.
• The contractor should provide pricing for the services, including an incremental increase from year one to year two, not to exceed 5%.
