Description

The Menifee Union School District is seeking proposals from community partners to provide enrichment classes for students in grades TK-8 as part of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. The program aims to develop the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. Vendors are expected to provide high-quality educational enrichment opportunities in areas such as athletics, gymnastics, dance, martial arts, music, and theater. The District intends to retain providers with the background, staff, management, and expertise to provide expanded learning programming. • The program will operate during the regular 180-day school year, from the end of the school day until 5:00 p.m. for elementary schools and 4:30 p.m. for middle schools. • Vendors must have experience in providing high-quality instruction to students in TK-8th grade and be able to provide references. • Programs must operate with a minimum staff-to-student ratio of 1:20 for grades 1-8, and 1:10 for TK and K. • The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to negotiate terms and conditions of the RFP as necessary.

Budget estimate

$900,000 – $3,600,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the RFP does not provide a specific budget or pricing information. However, based on the scope of the program and the requirements for vendors, it is likely that the District is looking to spend several hundred thousand dollars or more on this program. The program will operate for 180 days, and vendors will need to provide staff and resources to support the program. Assuming an average cost of $50-100 per student per day, and an average of 100-200 students per day, the total cost of the program could be in the range of $900,000 to $3,600,000 per year. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of students served, the types of services provided, and the qualifications and experience of the vendors.
