Jail Inmate Medical Services

The City of Long Beach is seeking proposals from qualified healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive medical services for inmates housed at the Long Beach City Jail. The services will include emergency medical care, routine health screenings, chronic disease management, pharmaceutical services, and mental health assessments. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing 24/7 medical care and working closely with jail administration to ensure timely and appropriate services for the inmate population. • The contractor must provide on-site medical staff coverage, including a registered nurse and on-call physicians. • The contractor must maintain compliance with clinical protocols, perform initial health assessments, and coordinate with physicians for elevated cases. • The contractor must provide pharmaceutical services, including inventory management and controlled substance handling. • The contractor must submit regular performance reports, including data on medical staffing, intake medical screenings, patient documentation accuracy, and training and certification compliance.
