Description

The County Commissioners of Queen Anne’s County are seeking a firm to develop a robust multimodal comprehensive Transportation Safety Action Plan (TSAP) to improve transportation safety, reduce crashes, and identify projects that would improve highway safety. The plan should be detailed and prescriptive to easily guide implementation of improvements and programs to improve safety. The selected firm will be required to provide professional services to create a TSAP, including reviewing available crash data, identifying crash hotspots, evaluating the potential causes of crashes, and providing site-specific recommendations to improve highway safety. • The plan should include a detailed safety analysis document that provides a comprehensive baseline of existing conditions and trends across the County transportation network. • The plan should include a public engagement plan that provides for robust engagement with the public and relevant stakeholders. • The plan should include a prioritized list of project locations, projects, and strategies, including explanations of how each project addresses an identified safety need from the safety analysis. • The plan should include methods to measure progress over time following Plan adoption and a toolkit of usable materials to educate the community on progress and improvements.
