Description
The City of Salina is soliciting bids for the demolition of an existing scale house and truck scale, and the design‑build of a new scale house, two NTEP‑certified truck scales, associated foundations, approach slabs, site grading, storm‑water controls, and extensive entrance‑area pavement, curbing, fencing, lighting, and site‑restoration works at its municipal solid‑waste landfill. The contract also includes a 1,500‑gal septic system, utility garage, and related mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
• Demolition of existing scale house and truck scale, with all waste to be weighed (“scaled”) before landfill disposal.
• Construction of new scale house building and two 50‑ton truck scales, including NTEP‑certified load cells, concrete decks, and lightning protection.
• Full site work: earthwork, grading, drainage, asphalt & concrete pavements, curbs, parking, entrance improvements, 10‑ft security fence with manual/remote gates, bollards, signage, and landscaping.
