Description
Edgecombe County is soliciting qualified vendors to replace its existing Scale Computing hyper‑converged infrastructure at two county facilities (the Administration Building and the Sheriff’s Office). The contract requires the vendor to furnish all hardware, software licenses, networking components, and a five‑year financing plan, then install, configure, and migrate all virtual machines and workloads to the new system with minimal downtime. Vendors must demonstrate prior experience with Scale Computing solutions, provide references, and carry $1 M general liability insurance. The bid must be sealed, submitted in writing to the County’s CIO by 10:00 a.m. on 30 Oct 2026.
• Scope includes supply of 3‑node clusters at each site, rack‑mounting, network integration, and full migration of VMs.
• Required hardware: dual‑Intel Xeon Gold CPUs, 768 GB RAM (admin site) / 384 GB RAM (sheriff site), 60 TB storage per node, 10/25 GbE adapters, 24‑port L3 switches with 25 GbE and 100 GbE uplinks.
• Vendor must provide a 5‑year hardware and software warranty, financing proposal, and detailed documentation/training.
• Mandatory insurance: $1 M general liability and workers’ comp.
• Submission deadline: 30 Oct 2026, 10:00 a.m.; questions due 23 Oct 2026.
