Description
The State of Maryland is seeking a licensed, qualified, and experienced contractor to furnish and install all equipment, materials, supplies, labor, and hardware to demo, remove and install a new 4-Ton packaged cooling rooftop unit with gas heating at the District 4 Golden Ring Landscape Depot Office. The project includes the removal of the existing unit, installation of a new unit, and connection of all existing supply and return ducts. The contractor must have experience in the installation and service of RTU package systems, rooftop heating and air conditioning up to 10 tons, and must provide a statement on the recovery and recycling procedures used for refrigerants. Some key responsibilities include:
• Removing the existing packaged RTU from the rooftop of the building
• Furnishing and installing a new Trane or approved equal, 4-Ton, R-454B charged, High Efficiency Package Cooling Unit with Gas Heating
• Providing a five (5) year compressor parts warranty and one year workmanship warranty on the RTU
• Providing a functionality test on the new unit to confirm heating/cooling mode performance to SHA
The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, or sooner.
