Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Motic EasyScan 2 Equipment

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) intends to award a sole source contract to Motic Instruments USA, Inc. for the Motic EasyScan 2 equipment. The equipment is required for the advancement of procedural and biomarker-related studies in the Thoracic Oncology Research Group. The Motic EasyScan 2 scanner allows for easy connectivity and file transfer, and Motic Digital Pathology provides direct 24-hour support to customers. The sole source justification is that Motic Digital Pathology is the direct manufacturer of the MoticEasyScan Two and provides unique features and support. * The contract amount is $27,645.00 * The equipment is required for research and collaboration with industry partners and the department of pathology * The contract is intended to be awarded without competition * Interested parties must notify the Contracting Specialist by February 4, 2026, at 12:00 AM EST
