Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 02, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Biocare Medical for an ONCORE Pro X slide staining system. The ONCORE Pro X is a fully open, automated slide staining system used in research laboratories that automates laboratory procedures for Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH), and In Situ Hybridization (ISH) research workflows. The system provides a significantly higher degree of customization than competing slide stainer instruments and supports up to 36 unique protocols within a single run.
• The ONCORE Pro X is required for the Buffalo VA Medical Center's research programs.
• The system uses one of the lowest reagent dispense volumes among comparable instruments, reducing reagent consumption and overall operating cost.
• Biocare Medical manufactures the ONCORE Pro X, its software, and its reagents in the United States, satisfying federal Buy American requirements and strengthening supply chain reliability.
• The contract is for a single purchase of the ONCORE Pro X slide staining system.
