Request for Proposals for Engineering Services for Port Rail Spur Project

The City of Aberdeen, Mississippi, is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for a port rail spur project. The scope of work includes preparing a preliminary cost estimate, preliminary engineering report, plans and specifications, bid documents, and construction inspection. The City encourages Minority owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Woman owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit proposals. Proposals will be evaluated on factors such as qualifications, experience, capacity, approach, success, and past performance. • The project involves a port rail spur with potential funding from the US Department of Transportation MARAD grant and/or other federal and state funding agencies. • The engineer will be responsible for performing all engineering services through project closeout. • The City of Aberdeen is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages Section 3 eligible businesses to submit proposals. • Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked with the specified language. • The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals.
