DHS / Administrative Services for NEMT

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking proposals from qualified responders to provide Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) administrative services for the Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP). The selected responder will be responsible for developing and implementing a single NEMT administrator program, including development, implementation, and testing of necessary information technology systems, coordination with state and local agencies, and member and provider outreach. The responder must be familiar with and understand the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 62M, and Minnesota Statutes, sections 245C.03, subd. 12, 256B.0625 subd. 17 and 17b-18a, as well as any other applicable state or federal laws or regulations. Some key responsibilities include: • Provider recruitment, contracting, and assistance • Member outreach and assistance • NEMT claims submission • Coordination with managed care organizations • Development of forms for use by members to request gas mileage reimbursement • Provision of public transit passes to eligible MHCP members
