6515--Hybrid Confocal Laser Microscope System

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to acquire a Nikon AX R Hybrid Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope System for the Philadelphia VAMC research building. The system will be used to support research across neuroscience, immunology, bioengineering, and cell biology. The microscope features a 25mm field of view, high-resolution capability of 8K × 8K pixels, and advanced low-noise detection system. The system also includes a vibration isolation air table, integrated image analysis computer workstation, and customized automated acquisition workflows. • The microscope will be used for live cell imaging and high-resolution tissue and cell imaging. • The system features a 25mm field of view, which is twice the imaging area of conventional confocal systems. • The microscope includes a Denoise.ai neural network and Autosignal.ai software for optimized illumination and detector settings. • The system is essential for sustaining critical VA research programs and supporting emerging high-resolution and live-cell imaging needs.
