C5613246-D Pre-Employment Medical Examinations

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a contractor to provide pre-employment medical examinations for peace officer candidates. The contractor will be responsible for conducting general physical examinations, blood tests, urinalysis, and other medical tests at eight locations throughout California. The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2026, and will last for three years. • The contractor must have a valid physician's license to practice medicine in California. • The contractor must have experience in providing medical examinations for law enforcement agencies. • The contractor must have the ability to provide examination facilities and services at all eight locations. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the California Medical Practice Act. • The contractor must provide a detailed plan for providing medical examinations, including the types of examinations to be conducted, the equipment and supplies to be used, and the qualifications of the medical staff. • The contractor must provide a pricing plan, including the cost per examination and any additional fees. • The contractor must have a plan in place for handling medical emergencies and providing follow-up care to candidates who require it.
