Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a high-speed, Lock-in/Servo system. The system must meet or exceed the following draft minimum specifications: * One field programmable gate array (FPGA) based high-speed multichannel lock-in servo system * Continuous wave laser wavelengths with at least 200 milliwatts (mW) power output at all wavelengths and gap-free tunability from 450-525 nanometers (nm) and 540-650 nm * Gap-free tunable output from 900-1050 nm and 1080-1300 nm * Laser output must not require manual intervention for re-tuning * System must exist in a single platform with one pump laser and tuning capability within one system * System should not require laser dyes * Laser beam quality must meet certain requirements, including laser linewidths < 1 MHz, polarization ratios greater than 100 to 1, and intensity stability with < 5% noise * Software control of the system must allow users to view the alignment optimization process and be compatible with Python programming. Some key points to consider: * The system must meet or exceed the specified minimum requirements * The system must be capable of providing a high-speed, Lock-in/Servo system * The system must be compatible with Python programming * The system must not require manual intervention for re-tuning * The system must exist in a single platform with one pump laser and tuning capability within one system

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific budget or pricing information. However, based on the complexity of the required system and the fact that it is a specialized laboratory instrument, the budget could be substantial. A possible estimate could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000, depending on the specific requirements and the vendor's pricing. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of materials, labor, and research and development.
