Hwy 45 N. Ditch Improvements

The City of Columbus is seeking bids for the construction of Hwy 45 N. Ditch Improvements. The work consists of excavation, cleaning, grading, and rip rapping existing drainage ditches along Highway 45 N from 31st Avenue to Bluecutt Road. The contract time for the base bid is 90 working days, and liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of $200.00 for each calendar day the work has not achieved substantial completion. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. • The bid documents are available via digital or paper copy and can be purchased through the website www.neel-schafferplans.com. • A Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to 5% of the bid is required as bid security. • The City of Columbus reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. • The contract is expected to be completed within 90 working days. • The bidder must show their Certificate of Responsibility Number on their bid and on the face of the envelope containing the bid, if the bid exceeds $50,000.00.
