Description
The City of Pembroke Pines is soliciting qualified contractors to replace the existing emergency generator and install a new generator system at the West Main Electrical Building – Generator Room of the Pembroke Pines Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope includes demolition of the old trailer‑mounted generator, removal of associated exhaust, silencer, fuel piping and wiring, structural modifications (louvers, wall penetrations, shroud, support systems), installation of a new generator with a master paralleling control panel, and full mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control integration. The project must comply with HUD CDBG‑MIT funding requirements, Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage rules, and Section 3 employment goals. Work must be completed within 18 months of the Notice to Proceed (Jan 5 2027) and includes liquidated damages of $500 per day for delays.
