Notice of Intent to Sole Source Superconducting Magnet Power Supplies

The National Institute of Standards and Technology Material Measurements Lab, Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) is issuing a notice of intent to sole source superconducting magnet power supplies with Cryogenic U.S., LLC. The purpose of this procurement is to restore the full function of the 9T and 10T magnets, which have been left without two high-value systems for neutron research due to failed superconducting magnet power supplies. The contractor shall deliver two superconducting magnet power supplies, model number SMS120C-4Q-20B, with FOB Destination delivery terms and a one-year warranty. The power supply must be 100% compatible with the existing 9T and 10T superconducting magnet and must not void the magnet's warranty. • The contractor must provide a quantity of two superconducting magnet power supplies. • The power supply must be 100% compatible with the existing 9T and 10T superconducting magnet. • The power supply must not void the magnet's warranty. • The power supply must be able to provide power to the 9T and 10T superconducting magnet without damaging the magnet. • The contractor must provide FOB Destination delivery terms. • The contractor must provide a one-year warranty.
