Description

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DMH/DD/SUS) is seeking qualified vendors to supply and ship opioid antagonist medications (intranasal kits and intramuscular vials) throughout the state, along with ancillary technical‑assistance services. The contract is a one‑year initial term with up to three one‑year renewal options, and the State may exercise a fourth optional year. Vendors must be registered in North Carolina, provide full‑price quotes (including FOB destination shipping), and demonstrate capability to meet a 21‑day maximum delivery lead time, maintain product shelf‑life, and support reporting and inventory tracking. Technical assistance is capped at 5 % of product spend. The solicitation includes a $30 k‑plus NTE quantity for intranasal kits and 100 k vials, with a total contract ceiling of several million dollars over the potential four‑year period.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

Based on the not‑to‑exceed quantities (30,000 intranasal kits and 100,000 intramuscular vials) and typical market prices (≈ $30 per kit and ≈ $5 per vial), product spend would be roughly $1.4 million per year. Adding up‑to‑5 % technical‑assistance fees (~$70 k) brings the annual contract value to about $1.5 million. With optional renewal years, total potential spend could reach $5‑$6 million over four years. Therefore a realistic budget range for a winning vendor is estimated between $1 million and $5 million, depending on negotiated unit prices, optional years exercised, and any additional services.
