ODOR CONTROL AND SLUDGE HOLDING TANK IMPR., BV PROJECT # 415404

The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows: Demolition of existing Odor Control Scrubber and associated chemical tanks and appurtenances and installation of new Carbon Adsorber system including foul air intake piping modifications. Contractor shall provide a temporary Odor Control System during construction to provide uninterrupted Odor Control operations for the Sludge Holding Tank and Dewatering facility. Replacement of six existing mixers with hyperboloid mixers and aerator systems, including new mixer Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), modifications to existing access hatches, modification of air piping, replacement of level sensor instruments, and addition of Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) sensors at the Sludge Holding Tanks. Replacement of RAS & WAS pump stations valves and piping above and below grade. Replacement of two Chlorine Contact Basin slide gates and concrete repair due to cracks and recoating at basin walls. Contractor shall provide a full bypass system that allows the flow to continue past the Chlorine Contact Basins to the clarifiers while the CCB is offline for repairs. Installation of 16" owner furnished pressure sustaining valve on effluent transfer pipeline. Replacement of two Equalization tank isolation valves. Installation of a new 8” water main from High Service Pump station A to the Plant Water Pump station pipe header including a new backflow assembly and fire hydrant. Electrical and Instrumentation and Controls work related to the above scope of work as shown in the drawings.
