Description
Caltrans seeks a qualified C‑17 licensed glazing contractor to fully replace windows and skylights across a San Diego County facility. The contract includes removal, disposal, supply, installation of new energy‑efficient glazing, associated storefront framing, and replacement of a surface‑mounted electrical receptacle assembly, all in compliance with Title 24, acoustic, and tint specifications. The work must be performed by the prime contractor (no subcontracting except to approved small‑business entities) and requires attendance at a mandatory site inspection.
• Remove and legally dispose of 38 storefront windows and 6 skylights, then furnish and install new tinted, low‑E, double‑glazed units with specified framing finishes.
• Install a new surface‑mounted electrical receptacle assembly per California Electrical Code and perform all required testing and energization.
• Meet energy (U‑Factor, SHGC), acoustic (STC ≥ 32), and UV‑blocking requirements; provide documentation and obtain pre‑approval for any product equivalents.
