Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified construction firm to renovate the Ambassador Suite and Main Lobby of the John Cochran VA Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The work includes full interior demolition, structural upgrades, new mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, ADA‑compliant vestibule construction, moisture remediation, and finish upgrades, all while maintaining uninterrupted patient services. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price award set‑aside for Service‑Disabled Veteran‑Owned Small Businesses, with a 330‑day performance period and an estimated value between $1 M and $5 M.
• Demolition of existing finishes, revolving door, and damaged structural elements; install new structural steel, concrete, and fire‑rated partitions.
• Install new MEP systems, ADA‑compliant vestibule with automatic doors, and upgraded interior finishes (walls, ceilings, flooring).
• Provide comprehensive safety, infection‑control, and quality‑control plans; comply with VA, OSHA, NFPA, IBC, and other federal codes.
• Required bid bond of 20 % (max $3 M) and performance/payment bonds of 100 % after award.
