Window Cleaning Services

The City of Des Moines Facilities Management Division and the Des Moines Public Library are seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive exterior and interior window cleaning services for 15 municipal facilities and 6 library locations. Work is to be performed on a semi‑annual basis for city buildings (Fall 2026, then Spring and Fall in subsequent years) and once per year for library sites beginning in 2027. The three‑year contract (with an optional three‑year extension) requires adherence to OSHA, state and local safety regulations, provision of all labor, equipment, insurance, and liability coverage, and strict scheduling and safety protocols. Bids must be submitted electronically by 12:00 PM CT on 9/25/2026; questions are due by 3:00 PM CT on 9/22/2026. The award will go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. • Scope: cleaning of exterior and interior windows, frames, sills, and related hardware at 21 locations. • Frequency: twice per year for city sites (Fall 2026, then Spring/Fall), annually for libraries starting 2027. • Contract term: 3 years with one optional 3‑year renewal. • Requirements: certified roof‑safety equipment, trained personnel, insurance, compliance with all applicable regulations, and provision of a customer‑service representative. • Submission: sealed electronic bid only; no paper or fax bids accepted. • Evaluation factors: price, experience, references, safety record, and ability to meet schedule.
