Day Treatment Intensive Services for Adult Medi-Cal Beneficiaries

The County of Orange, Health Care Agency is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) services for Adult Medi-Cal Beneficiaries. The services are intended for people with serious mental disorders who require treatment from a team of mental health professionals. The proposed services include individual and group therapy, medication support, case management, day treatment programs, crisis intervention, and in-home or community-based support. The contract is expected to start on October 1, 2026, and the initial term may be renewed for an additional term or terms. • The services will be provided to individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) who meet medical necessity criteria for Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) under the County’s Behavioral Health Plan (BHP). • The DTI program must be available six days per week, with treatment scheduling aligned to client needs. • The program must provide transportation that meets each client’s needs. • The contract will be based on successful negotiations and County of Orange funding availability. • The funding source for these services consists of Medi-Cal Full Financial Participation through a Fee for Service contract. • The rate for service will be negotiated with the provider based on the DHCS rates for 2026-27 for DTI full and half-day.
