NOBH - Snow Removal

The Northern Ohio Blind Health (NOBH) facility is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive snow and ice management services for its campus throughout the winter season. The contract requires a zero‑tolerance response to any snowfall exceeding one inch, 24/7 coverage, rapid on‑site arrival within one hour of a request, and adherence to specific equipment and chemical usage standards (Calcium Chloride only). The contractor must maintain clear access to fire hydrants, parking areas, and building entrances, remediate any damage caused by equipment, and submit equipment lists and certifications. Subcontracting is prohibited without explicit approval from senior NOBH leadership, and a pre‑season site walk‑through is required after October 1. • Scope includes sidewalks, courtyards, parking lots, roadways, dock area, ramps, steps, and intake zones. • Event‑based “Zero Tolerance” plan with shift‑change monitoring (7 AM, 3 PM, 11 PM) and immediate snow/ice remediation. • Mandatory use of snow blowers on sidewalks < 5 ft wide and calcium chloride for ice prevention; removal of excess chemicals.
