The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a partner to continue its submetering program, which aims to ensure credible flow and temperature measurements to calculate thermal energy consumption for tracking building benchmarking. The selected supplier will be responsible for verifying all flow meters and temperature sensors, ideally on an annual basis. The scope of work includes recording existing meter conditions, performing diagnostic checks, verifying volume flow measurements, and calibrating or replacing faulty equipment as needed. The supplier will also be required to document devices found to be outside of the manufacturer's specified error and provide recommendations for calibration or replacement.
Some key aspects of the job include:
• Verifying flow meters using independent portable meters with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Traceable Certificates
• Recording before and after verification readings with timestamps and unit of measure for temperature sensors
• Calibrating flow devices found to be outside of the manufacturer's specified error, if feasible and accessible
• Scheduling service visits by grouping meters into Operations and Maintenance Groups
• Performing work during normal business hours with provided Owner escort and support
