On-Call Architectural and Engineering (A&E) Services

The County of San Joaquin is seeking qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide on-call services for various capital projects. The selected firms will support all phases of project delivery, including pre-design studies, design, construction administration, and closeout services. The contract will be for a five-year term, with no guarantee of minimum work. The County encourages firms with a local presence or those that incorporate locally based sub-consultants and key personnel to submit their qualifications. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing architectural and engineering services for capital projects • Supporting multiple project delivery methods, including job order contracting, design-bid-build, design-build, and progressive design-build • Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and codes • Providing responsive and timely on-site services, including attending project meetings and site visits • Having a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or architecture • Having at least seven years of experience providing architectural and engineering services, including serving as the lead A/E firm on at least three public agency projects
