Thomas & Mack Center Escalator Modernization

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an experienced contractor for the Thomas and Mack Center escalator modernization. The project involves replacing existing escalators with new ones, and the contractor will be responsible for furnishing and installing a complete, code-compliant escalator installation. The contractor must comply with all applicable requirements of ASME A17.1/CSA B44, local building codes, electrical codes, fire/life-safety codes, accessibility requirements, and all rules, regulations, and interpretations of the Authority Having Jurisdiction. • The project requires the contractor to provide all materials, labor, tools, supplies, equipment, and services necessary to complete the work. • The contractor must obtain all required permits, coordinate inspections, and provide all materials, equipment, labor, engineering, testing, certifications, and documentation necessary to deliver an escalator installation acceptable to the Authority Having Jurisdiction. • The contractor must comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, ADA, HIPAA, FERPA, NCAA, GLBA provisions and any and all other relevant state and federal standards, codes, and regulations that may apply. • The contractor must provide a minimum of five client references that are public and/or higher education institutions similar in size and scope to UNLV. • The contractor must provide pricing information using the Pricing Response Form, and the cost proposal will be evaluated using a proportional scoring method.
