RFP for Greenhorn Creek LLD Defensible Space Clearing Services

The City of Angels Camp is seeking a qualified vendor to perform defensible space clearing services in the Greenhorn Creek Landscape and Lighting District (LLD). The contractor will be responsible for removing dead, dying, or diseased vegetation, reducing ladder fuels, and maintaining clearance around infrastructure. The contract will be for a period of 36 months, with the option to extend for an additional 1-3 years. The contractor will be required to meet with the Committee Maintenance Manager monthly to review work progress and discuss any issues. The contractor will also be responsible for submitting a two-page report on work progress, issues, and plans for the near future. • The contractor will be required to perform defensible space clearing services in accordance with the 2022 California Fire Code and California Public Resource Code 4291. • The contractor will be required to maintain the formally landscaped areas, including planter and lawn areas, and perform tasks such as mowing, edging, and pruning. • The contractor will be required to perform weed control and maintenance of protected cultural resource areas and wildlife corridors. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including the California Public Records Act and the US Army Corps of Engineers permit.
