Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from businesses interested in providing Airbus H125 Helicopter Field Maintenance Training. The training should be in accordance with Air Transport Association (ATA) 104 Specifications for FAA Airworthiness (Maintenance / Avionics) Inspectors. The contractor must provide commercial off-the-shelf training for approximately 80 hours. The training should be conducted in a brick-and-mortar facility located in the United States, preferably within 25 miles of a major airport. The contractor must provide instructor-led training with a qualified instructor. Some key points to consider: • The training should be based on a per-student basis, and all travel and per diem costs will be the responsibility of the FAA. • The contractor must provide a copy of the syllabus, training schedule, and course description to each Safety Inspector on the first training day. • The contractor shall issue a Certificate of Completion for each attendee upon successful completion of the training. • The contractor shall furnish a report to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) reflecting the student's final grades, attendance records, and any additional comments deemed necessary.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not provide information on the number of students or the cost per student. However, considering that the course outline is approximately 80 hours of training, and assuming an average cost of $500 per hour for technical training, the total cost for one course could be around $40,000. If we assume that the FAA will require multiple courses per year, the total budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000 per year, depending on the number of courses and students. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of students, the cost per student, and the frequency of courses.
