Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 17, intends to award a firm-fixed priced contract to Richard-Allan Scientific LLC for a Lab Histology Equipment Service Maintenance Agreement. The contract will cover the maintenance and repair of VA-owned histology lab equipment at the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System in Harlingen, Texas. The equipment includes a Clearvue Glass Coverslipper, Embedding Unit Paraffin, Tissue Embedding Unit, and Excelsior AS. The contractor will be required to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and updates to the equipment, and provide training to VA staff. The contract has a base period of 12 months, with four optional 12-month periods.
• The contractor must have OEM training and certification on the equipment.
• The contractor must provide all necessary tools, supplies, and labor to maintain and repair the equipment.
• The contractor must provide copies of all service reports and ensure that all equipment has current inspection/PM tags.
• The contractor must comply with all applicable records management laws and regulations.
